Below are the specifications and features of Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S7. Even though this device has the most advanced features in the Galaxy S series, it still shares some similarities with the Galaxy S6 in terms of its metallic and glass design which shows very little change from the Galaxy S6.

Display and Build

The Galaxy S7 sports a 5.1 inch SUPER AMOLED display with a Quad HD resolution of 1440 X 2560 pixels and pixel density of 577ppi. Yes! 577ppi pixel density, you can now close your mouth. It also features a force touch display with TouchWIZ UI which gives users a more customised interface over the phone. From this display, you get better representation of colours with natural whites and deep blacks, great viewing angles, and users can now get one of the brightest screens on an android device.

This device is made from metal and has a Gorilla Glass 4-coating on the front and rear. It weighs 157g, has a  dimension of 150.9 X 72.6 X 7.7 mm (height * width *depth), and a 7.9 mm thin ultra-slim design. The S7 is protected by IP68 dust and water resistance which means that the device can be immersed for 30 minutes in Upto 1.5m depth of water and it will also be protected against dust that may harm it (Now, you can mistakenly drop your phone in the toilet and all youll have to worry about is how far youre gonna stick your hand to retrieve it. You have Samsung to thank for that). The Galaxy S7 comes in four colour variants which are black, white, gold and silver.

The battery capacity of Samsung Galaxy S7 is 3000mAh, an improvement over the 2,550mAh battery in the Samsung Galaxy S6. This battery is non-removable, supports fast charging (83% of charging in just 30 minutes) and fast wireless charging, and can support upto 70 hours of music play, 18 hours of video playback and 24 hours talk time. Theres also a feature that allows battery sharing via WIFI enabling users to share the battery of other Samsung devices without using a cable. 

For connectivity, the Galaxy S7 supports 4G and 5G network Connections resulting in faster downloads and better video streaming. Other connectivity options include NFC, wireless charging, and a standard micro USB port for transferring power and data.

Samsung has combined design and usability to make the Galaxy S7 an improvement over the Galaxy S6. Even though the S7 owes much of its design to the S6, its specs and features has made it a credible upgrade from the its predeccesor.

 A RAM size of 4GB on a smartphone device is no childs play considering that some laptops cant even boast of a RAM of that capacity. The camera of the Galaxy S6 was once considered to be one of the best on any android device but the Galaxy S7 as its successor has taken the camera to whole new level. With the Galaxy S7, you get an expandable memory storage, dust and water resistant android smartphone, a microSD card slot, a battery with a larger capacity, no protruding camera and an easier-to-hold design. 

With all these great specs, this phones not coming in cheap. The Galaxy S7 is quality for your money, if youre one whos always looking out for the best, heres a device that promises a great user experience and its gonna awe you for weeks unending. Ones gonna feel good just carrying this phone around.

Well i for one dont like the Samsung devices for one reason and that is their cost. They have great specs, yes! but one could probably buy a cow with the price theyre being offered. I bet i could get a tecno phone with almost the same specs as these and for half the price of the Samsung Galaxy S7- Winks, ones gotta think smart you know. uuuugggh, And lest i forget if youre living in Nigeria, then the 5G network support on this device will probably be useless, now there goes your money out the window baby..you better run after it. But look on the brighter side, you can always tell everyone that youve got a phone thats got 5G network support.
